Writer's Guidelines
FUSE is interested in writing that examines artworks and cultural events in terms of the relationship between political issues and contemporary culture. Articles to be considered for publication should provide a critical context for the work or event being addressed. Ideally, they should also provide some evaluation of the ways in which these works or events might encourage or facilitate social change. We are seeking writing in which strong opinions are developed through informed analysis. Keep in mind that FUSE is a magazine, not an academic journal. Our audience is typically well educated, but diverse, so knowledge of specialized academic jargon or concepts should not be presumed.
We encourage writers to submit proposals. You can download submission guidelines in PDF format here. here.
